Get Up, Get Moving to Better Boost Women’s Health

Make Physical Activity a Priority

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has developed the following physical activity guidelines for adult women:

  • 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per week
  • 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity per week
  • Combination of moderate-and vigorous-intensity per week
  • Muscle-strengthening activities on two or more days per week
